2011 Schedule :

-Fri. September 23th - Arrival, Registration, and Tech inspections at Z1 Motorsports followed by a cruise and dinner.

-Sat. September 24th - Car Show / Dyno Competition / Open House at Z1 Motorsports.

@ Harold (SparkleCityHop)...No worries. I remember your car clearly from this year's ZDayz event. As long as your car is configured the same and has not changed you should be good to go to participate in the track event.

Another round of updates for everyone!

1) Friday, September 23rd's activities have been decided:

From 12:00 PM ~ 5:00 PM - Pre-Track Day Tech Inspections at Z1 will take place for all registered track participants.
Pat from Apex Auto will also be on site (@ Z1 Motorsports) detailing customers' vehicles from 12:00 PM ~ 5:00 PM. Contact Pat @ Apex Auto for more details and to schedule and appointment.
Beginning @ 6:00 PM, a Z/G Cruise will begin leaving from the Z1 Motorsports facility. Route is TBD, but will highlight some of the local Atlanta icons. We will meet for dinner at the Varsity in Downtown Atlanta at some point for some local food and a photo op. The film crew and photographers will also be in attendance.
Following the Z Cruise, there will be a gathering at the Border Mexican Bar & Grill in Carrollton, Georgia for food, drinks and good times. (This will be the Z1 After Party normally held on Saturday Night for those of you who are wondering )

2) For people looking to register for the track day....we still have spots available in the three classes, be sure to register soon! However, all of the Cover Garage Spaces in the NASCAR Garages have been taken. We appreciate all those who have registered early and look forward to seeing everyone soon!

I just wanted to update everyone. The Hampton Inn (http://hamptoninn.hilton.com/en/hp/hotels/index.jhtml;jsessionid=XJ GEBGCRCCQX0CSGBIX222QKIYF CXUUC?ctyhocn=BMNGAHX) is full, and the overflow hotel the Holiday Inn Express (http://www.hiexpress.com/hotels/us/en/bremen/byemn/hoteldetail?firstpoint=dc b1&_requestid=326195) only has around 10 rooms left. If you are trying to stay in either of these hotels, please go ahead and make your reservations. Tomorrow we will be contacting 2 more hotels to set up group packages, but I wanted to let you guys know first. Looks like it's going to be a good one again this year!!

We still have sponsors joining in at the last minute too, so we will keep you guys posted as the new give away items are confirmed.

I was lucky enough to attend the GP earlier this year, and as always Barber Motorsports Park doesn't disappoint. The grounds are world class, it is one of the nicest tracks you will ever go to. As a spectator it is very friendly for a road course, you can see quite a bit of racing from many locations around the track.
Even Dario Franchitti (http://www.barbermotorsports.com/general/video1.php) thinks it's really nice, check it out.

Aside from that they probably have one if not the best motorcycle museum's in the world. I think it is 4 or 5 stories with about 1,000 motorcycles on display and even more in storage they can rotate out. A few collectible race cars, and the best part is it over looks the track, the entire back wall is glass so every where you look it's amazing! Oh wow look a lotus F1 car, turn around and it's all totally beautiful bikes that all run and drive (stored dry of course, but they run them all (Can you tell I've taken the behind the scenes tour), then just look out the back of the museum at one amazing race course. It's like a dream :cry:, kinda like Z Nationals except when I'm there I'm not working. :D

I realise it took a little longer than expected to announce the NEW 2011 Z Nationals event T-Shirt, but I think that the wait is well worth it. We now have the final design done and the T-Shirts will be here next Thursday.

The 2011 Z Nationals T-Shirt features a shiloutte of Atlanta Motor Speedway Track Map, which will be used for Sunday's Z Natioanls Track Day.
