Does anybody know WHERE it will be? I'm hoping to go this year...The Z Nationals, are not the same as ZCon.
The Z Nationals (http://www.znationals.com/) are held in the Atlanta area at Z1. ZCon travels around the country as it is hosted by different Z club/clubs that are part of the ZCCA (www.zcca.org) each year.
FWIW this year (2007) ZCon is the first week of October in Daytona, FL, next year (2008) it will be in Ohio, not sure exactly when though.

Patrick... Can I suggest we make plans to bring NEZC there? With this much notice we should be able to get a good size group together to travel down.

I, for one, would love to see how you have your truck setup under the hood!

I've never been to a Z National event. Are there many S30's or S130's in attendance? I have a lot of cosmetic work to do to my Z31, so I'd drive Jade (S130) if I come. She has Z32 seats though. Does that count? :D

All years Z and Infiniti G owners can participate in the activities like the track day, car show, and dyno shootout. Of course anyone can attend the Z Nationals regardless of what they drive.

OOOOOr fly back here and we might find something for you to drive. Got a lot to do between now and then, but it's on the top of the to do list.
Been working on the bus, it's been sitting for 2 1/2 years. Got everything running except the generator, have to drop it and check the slip rings. Have to have electric brake head added to it. Bought a 24' Carson Racer trailer the other day.

If anyone is looking for hotel accommodations in the Carrollton area, Laura and I stayed @ the Jameson Inn of Carrollton while visiting Z1 this past weekend and have nothing but positive things to say about it. The carpet was new, and actually sculpted as opposed to the generic commercial sorts usually found in hotel rooms. The refrigerator was well sized and had a decent sized freezer. The TV was adequate, with a full cable lineup and the high speed wireless internet was legitimately DSL or better. The hotel is also directly adjacent to a Walgreens and less than a half mile from several eateries such as the mellow mushroom. So, all in all for $60+/- its a great deal. Just a heads up.

NP. I think anyone who has not been will have a good time this year. Even beyond the event & Z1 when you get into Carrollton they have a nice small historic downtown, sort of an oasis in comparison to the sprawl of Atlanta found else where. We found it a nice change of pace from Tampa and the hotel is situated directly in it.

There is a link to the drag strip and they posted the prices. It is at the Silver Dollar raceway right? Maybe I'm wrong and it's a different thing they have going on for nissan's,Datsun's and Infiniti's.
Either way I guess I'll keep checking back if those are wrong to see how much it will be?

Lot's of time between now and then Dan (2.75 months). What a perfect place to enjoy a B-Day - warm southern sunshine amoungst loads of Z's. After I convince Kevin (99SpecZ32) to go, we'll meet you at the 1,000 Islands border crossing and head down from there. If figure if we leave at Oh-Dark-Thirty on Thursday the 27th, that should give us plenty of time.

lol John I wouldnt really need convincing if it were within my power (or my car's power) to go.
I'm just getting my car out of storage on the 27th of march then I need to install all of my parts and send my sides and front out for paint so I cant make it there. The car barely moves with it's current clutch and even if i got that done right when i get the car back to my shop, I dont really like taking it around multicolored.
the next big event I'll make sure i take the time off work and the car will be there, if you wanna cruise down. Oh and I need to get a passport I'm a slacker

It's so tempting, but I'll have to see. I can't get at my storage place until probably early march, if that. I'll figure out the timeframe, and the work I'll be doing and then I'll decide!

Anyone can attend. Registration is not required but encouraged. It helps us better plan activities, etc. Usually about 25% of the people that show up actually register :( . I'm confident there are several fold the number of people planning on attending compared to the number listed on the "who is attending page". Everyone please register! Basic registration is free!

I'm going to try to make at least for the track day, and will be coming from Birmingham so maybe I can get a good video of the caravan of Z's coming from the east.
On a side note, even though the distance would be a little farther, this would be a great event to host at the Barber Motorsports Park (http://www.barbermotorsports.com/index.php) in the future.

but the thing is i dont realy wanna rack my mileage up.. I can't find a more perfect reason to rack up the mileage - going to a Z meet. The warmer weather is nice perk as well.
Room booked at Hampton Inn - good to go!!

ouch....$40 to drag/$25 to watch...that's crazy. Silver dollar raceways's Nissan Datsun Infinity race is cheaper in the long run. $50 to bracket and be up for winnings/$10 to watch.
Why is the racing so damn much!

Wow, there would be more people going to this (if they really need to that is) if this was held in march. I cant even get my car out until the middle of April without the fear of driving in salt....this sucks. I really wanted to go.

If there's slight residual left on the roads it won't be for very long and the Interstates are always bone dry anyway. After the days drive you'll be far enough south to find better weather and a coin wash to get rid of all of that northern road stuff (salt & sand). Hell I'll be braving it with my new paint job.

That's ok John. We've had a change in plans. Chris and I probably won't make it down now.
Originaly planned on driving the motorhome down, but the trailer and home won't be ready. Then we planned on just driving a couple cars down.
Found out last week my mother has a tumor on her left kidney and they are wanting to take out her kidney here. We have an appointment at MD Anderson in Houston for the 12th of March and I'll be down there with her for 5-7 days. Just don't think I can get back up here get things in order and make the nationals trip. Unless something changes we'll not try to make the trip.
Like Chris said, there's always next year.

Well i guess I'll keep an eye out. If the weather seems to change for the better at the start of march, then I'll get things in order to have my fenders/bumper/center panels painted and get my new alarm installed and i'll go. All depends on the weather....what route do you plan on taking? Perhaps we could go together.

is it possible to buy things while your there? like this would be a perfect time for me to get an ecu.. and a driveshaft.. and just give them the core while im right there..
Is this type of thing allowed?

Yes and we are planning on having some show only specials going on this year. Russel, is it possible at some point to reveal what sort of "Specials" will be available. I hate to buy something between now and then that I could have saved a few $$ on. As a matter of fact, it would be nice to know from the other venders that will be attending, what sort of specials they may have to offer.

Then leaving Alexandria about 8 AM with a stop near Roanoke, VA, and again near Knoxville, TN for gas, and then on to the final destination that evening, the Hampton Inn in Bremen GA.

We will be here pretty late. We'd like to have all the track tech inspections done before 9 pm though.
