I'm not sure if this is posted in the wrong place or if it's a bit premature.
I was hoping to hear from those attending the Z Nationals and were planning to take I-75 down. Those that live enroute using I-75 would be able to announce certain meet up spots along the way that would be easily accessable from I-75. Of course, specific timings can be sorted out later but it would be nice to start compiling a list of people and meet-up locations.

John did you talk to Vuk to find out about going with him?
Have fun there, next time I'll make it.

Nice. I look forward to seeing your silver Z at the dyno/show. Last year the only other silver Z there was Russel's.

Have fun there, next time I'll make it.Kevin, not as of yet, I haven't. Last time Vuk and I talked about it I think he mentioned about taking the trailer down. I also noticed that Angelica ("shorteaz"), had registered as well so I emailed her to see what her plans were. I was hoping Dan ("deebz") in Ottawa might go as well. I haven't seen if any z's from TNC (Toronto Nissan Club) are going as of yet either.
Nice. I look forward to seeing your silver Z at the dyno/show. Last year the only other silver Z there was Russel's. Thanks Kasim, I'm in good company then. :)
Wait a minute, Vuk's Z is silver as well.

tnc :nope:
as for Angelica I kinda doubt she'll make it.
but yeah I'm sure Vuk will be taking the trailer up there since he will want to take parts and display stuff, it was at zfest in august. But yeah I know he's going for sure, it's why I had to bump ahead my car's schedule since he got me my clutch and flywheel.
I had originally planned on bringing my car out and picking up the clutch on march 27th then i remembered that he would be at z nats, which is why now I'm picking up my clutch and flywheel this week. and bringing out the car back to nissan early march.
by the way are you back in Canada now, I know you said the 6th, must be excited to be back.
if you cant get through to my cell or anything try to pm me aswell about the parts.

Thanks for that Kevin.
I'm hoping for some nice weather within the next month so that I can get the Z tuned up on the dyno with Vuk.
There must be some taking I-75 to the Nationals??

Are there not anyone taking I-75 down?
Is there some sort of better route via Detroit southbound?
Are people just undecided or reluctant to post their intentions?
I would imagine those that are going for the full 3 days would have already made arrangements with work and made hotel bookings by now.

John, I was trying to make this one, but I don't think I'll be able to now. Have fun with it though.
If I went, I would've tracked me car. All about the tracking this year.

There'll be other Z meets this year. - Branson Z Fest and a few others that are closer by. Take a look at the TIZCC. They're advertising a Z meet in New York State that's very doable for us and not too far away. :)
BTW, we need to get together some weekend when the weather is nicer and see if an e46 (BMW) Xenon projector retro-fit can be done on my car - with your assistance of course.

A rough scrutiny of maps and distances should put me in Dayton, Ohio on Wednesday night. Leaving Thursday morning to meet the Northeast group [BarryZ(NJ)] in Knoxville at 4pm that afternoon.
Although, I may push it to someplace between Dayton and Cincinnati.
If anyone knows of a hotel not far from I-75 near Dayton or just past Dayton towards Cincinnati, that would be helpfull.

Looks like I'll be going to the Nationals solo this time. It sure would be nice to cruise down with a few others headed down on I-75. Helps break up the monotony.

Hello. You mention stopping in Knoxville around 4p on Thursday. Are you heading on down that evening to Atlanta/Commerce, GA or leaving on Friday am?
Waiting on the wife to see when we are leaving, but it is definitely better cruising to an event in a group.

- TonyHi Tony
I'm arranging to meet BarryZ(NJ) and all of the New England / East Coast guys as their routing takes them to Knoxville. Meeting them there at 4pm Thursday gives us 3 to 3.5 hrs to the hotel in Bremen at 7:30ish which is a good time. The routing from I-75 to that specific spot looks quite easy judging the google map info. Barry has another thread on their complete route with a link to his complete google map routing.

Wow, less than a week to go before I'm on the road and still no confirmed travellers down I-75.
Is everyone waiting til the last minute?
Or don't plan on taking in all of the 3 days?
It's going to be one lonely drive until Knoxville. :violin:

I'll probably be meeting with Barry on his last leg of the trip where he exits I-75 at Calhoun,GA (where I live) and then gets on HWY53. I only live an hour and half from Z1.

Wow, 2 days before I'm on the road and not one confirmed person from Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky or Tennesse taking I-75. Must be short drive Z'rs in those parts and not used to long hauls.

It likely has to do with the fact that Z Attack is only 2 weeks after Z Nats, so some are either doing one or the other, and will possibly wait until the last minute to decide (like me). For that matter, people in the places you mention are quite a bit closer to Z Attack. Even though I am almost perfectly split (4 hours) from either, chances are I will do Z Attack even if I don't feel like getting up early Saturday morning to head to Z1.

Well I finally made it back in one piece just an hour ago.
1,696 kms one way is pretty far for a meet. But it was well worth it!!!!!!
Now, time to look at all of the pic whoring I've missed while I was driving home.
