Anyone here where yet? Also, is this a good place to buy a Z?

Do you mean has anyone heard of where it's being held?
If so, I believe it's always held at Z1 just west of Atlanta.
09 should be near the end of Sep I believe. There's another thread (if you search) that has specific dates.
Good place to buy a Z? - Hmmm, well Russell does have some Z's on hand from time to time for outright sale. That said, there's the odd attendee that puts their Z up for private sale as well. I recall the last Nationals saw a few very very nice Z's that were advertised for sale there.

isnt it always in marchDan, Russell decided to change up the date. I guess the end of March time frame was a little too rainy or the weather just a little too unpredictable.
Z Nationals 25 & 26 Sep 09
ZCon 28 Sep to 02 Oct 09
Danno, Vuk was mentioning a bit of a long haul drive for this. Do the Nationals and leave on the 27th for ZCon and arrive at ZCon on the 28th and then home.
Are you up for a lot of long distance driving? God knows you need to make up for some lost time.

I would if I could, but its doubtful. The next 2.5 years have been given away to school. I'll have just started again by that time so it would be very tough to work it out. It would really depend on what my schedule is like at that time.

Man.. You guys don't know who excited I am for this, even though its a few months away. I had so much fun, me and my dad, seeing you John and Steven (Mclarenf1kid) along with the other guys. I should be able to make it again this year. John, I remember all to well, when I saw you on the side of the road in Chattanooga. To say the least I was exctited.

I think it was silly to move it the week before ZCon. Thats going to make people chose one or the other. Should have moved it to another time frame.

I'll be at both, but I think z nationals would be more of the 3zc event to be at. Not sure if zcon will be different in Texas but I know in Cleveland it seemed more like an older model z event, where as z nationals I'm sure will be alot more z32 packed. There were some z32s around at zcon 08 but they seemed to be outnumbered. We'll see how it is for this year.
But yes if someone could only make it to one and distance wasn't an issue the z32 guys would probably hit up the nationals.

I might be able to make it to one of them, but may want to ride along with someone and fly home after, if there was a seat. Still, its a long way away at this point.

Lot's of Z32's down here in Texas:)
You will find lots of Z33's and Z32's. And the age crowd will be a better mix.
I'm going to try to make ZNATS

The nationals seemed to contain a good mix. I couldn't even count how many cars there were last year.. There also was the few 240's and I remember a yellow S15 that was there. Another thing is, I love how nice everyone is down there. Really great people to be among.

The last couple of years have been unpredictable with the weather in the spring and as most of you know we had to shut down and move inside in 08 because of a storm that moved through. We decided on a fall date and started trying to work things out and finally decided that the best date was going to be just before ZCON. We're going to try and work up a caravan from Atlanta to San Antonio for anyone is trying to attend both events. Should be a really good time and a chance to make a weeklong trip out of it for some.

I'm planning to get my Z running again, and then blow it up just in time to miss Z Nationals, as usual. Usually I spin a bearing early in the year so I miss the March date, but I'm sure that somehow I will manage to prolong this destruction until September this year.

We're going to try and work up a caravan from Atlanta to San Antonio for anyone is trying to attend both events. Should be a really good time and a chance to make a weeklong trip out of it for some.OK, well I'm sold now on the idea. Not sure of the mileage from Atlanta to San Antonio but that's one hell of a long road trip. Just that road trip (caravan) alone would make it all worth while.
Could you imagine hords of Z's in a long line down a highway driving for 1.5 days.
Bryan, are you and Russell actually going to work on some sort of logistics for a possible caravan. Although I'm a noob in relation to most, I couldn't imagine a more fun filled way to enjoy driving your Z than to be driving with a hord of Z's from one event to another. That would be something else if an actual route with scheduled rest/food/fuel stops plotted. Key points enroute for others to join caravan with estimated arrival times at those certain locations. Everyone carrying an FRS radio to stay in contact with the rest.
Has anything on a scale like this been done before? This would be the highlight of my year if you and guys at Z1 could pull this off.
Can you say ..... "Gumball"? :)

That's right, thanks man!
As far as the caravan from Z1 to Texas would be great... that's pretty tempting haha. I've already got a trip to Houston scheduled for March to attend TX2k9 (Supra meet)... I guess I could make the drive twice this year, lol. The caravan would definitely make it worth it!

Definitely! And I'll be sure to bring some $$ and hopefully get a good dyno tune. I have one of your socketed ECUs, so I'm hoping we can get a good custom tune for my car and some numbers on paper.

It'd be an honor and privilege to go with such a crowd. I think state by state we should have people meet us for the whole trip down. End up in GA about 50 Zs deep, now THAT would be a sight to see!
Can't WAIT!

Most everyone that comes to the Z Nationals, which of course is free to attend, leaves with free stuff. Some lucky attendies leave with substanitally more than they showed up with. Last year over $20,000 of Z stuff was given away and many of the items were worth over $1000.

I think state by state this should be organized, it'd be pretty tough to do, but when pulled off, we'd meet up in places state by state, fill up, pick up more members and continue along. Almost with a military precision, as the group passes more people join. It'd look pretty cool. Start north and work down.

Hey Russell, i wish i coulda made it last year. i ended up sellin my dyno run to my friend Nate who i worked with over spring break last year to create that custom widebody on his (currently primered) 2+2 Z It's actually in the "Modified" pic album. Im gonna talk to him some more, but i think we'll be comin down for this event! Im def lookin forward to seein some more GT-Rs at the event now that i saw my first one here at Penn State University. And im sure i'll be test drivin the new Z once i get home for break!!!
On another note, whose gonna be drivin through central PA cause i'm just north of Harrisburg and would love to join up with some fellow Z owners for the trip!!! If no-one, wheres a good point for everyone to meet up so we can roll in large numbers.

Dan, Russell decided to change up the date. I guess the end of March time frame was a little too rainy or the weather just a little too unpredictable.
Actually it was to space it out better from Z Attack, as they were only a week or two apart last year...splitting the attendance between the two somewhat. Additionally, I am pretty sure Z1 is one of the many sponsors of Z Attack anyway.
any chance of thenew 370's being on hand with another GTR like last year?
Z Attack, being a directly Nissan involved event, will have plenty to see I am sure (as they had the then new Maxima and GTR at last years event only days after Z Nationals). In other words, if one has it, is likely they both will considering the proximity of the two shows (and Nissan's new US headquarters).
Has anything on a scale like this been done before? This would be the highlight of my year if you and guys at Z1 could pull this off.
I am located pretty handily... within 1-4 hours, annually there is:
Z Nationals
Z Attack
Z Dayz
East Coast Regional Z Show
All are of similar scale, and are well spaced from spring to fall. Due to this, I am not hurt that the convention has not been in East TN in several years, lol.
