This listing is for the Fascia only with options below for the corner lights and the mesh grille.

Price goes up to ~$700 once you add the other parts to the fascia you will need + shipping. If I recall, last year on GB, this kit sold for around $500, just have to wait and see what it will be this time.

agreed also in reality you won't come across other zs with the 99 fascia unless you go to meets, I never randomly came across another z with a 99 front while mine was on.

you're on a 300zx forum obviously you'll see lots of them, but they are still greatly outnumbered by the 90-96 fascias. I'd say it's the most popular/common upgrade but not the most popular/common fascia since not all z owners upgrade their exterior styling, it just seems like more on the internet which is worldwide.

I didn't take it as bashing, just saying because of where we are it seems way more extreme than it actually is, and the 99 fascia isnt all that common in the everyday real world. Here's one of my past quotes to explain it better ;)

but yeah I'd say it is the most common upgrade now.

I do agree that seeing so many people with the JDM front bumper made me think about going a different route, but in the end it's the only OEM looking bumper that actually looks nice. It seems to fit the lines and shape of the Z32 much better than the 90-96 bumper. I am definitely not a fan of big wings and body kits. I like everything to look like it could have come from the factory the way it is, just some nice tasteful modifications.

Contact N20Z (the creator of this thread). All of the parts that are ordered on the group buys are done through Z1 and everything is shipped from there (I have ordered many things from the 3ZC store and all packages come from Georgia in boxes with "Z1 Motorsports" packaging tape). I don't see why you can't buy the fascia in this group buy and still pick it up from Z1. Just make sure with N20Z first.

With these group buys you are essentially getting a sweet deal on Z1 and AMS stuff that all comes from Z1 directly.

As we've stated here before several times, you are not going to see an Escort GB because it is already being sold near cost.

The Z1 SMICs are a properly designed intercooler with a higher efficiency core than the Godspeeds. The Godspeeds don't do a good job of actually cooling the air because of the low internal and external fin desity.

A lot of the things from the group buys do come from Z1, as they put up a lot of the offers for the group buys, and when an item is purchased, its a direct ship from whoever offered the item. AMZ quite frequently has items in the GB, and if you bought any you'd know they don't come from Georgia. Steve, Pete, and myself organize all of this stuff, so please don't post half truths, especially when in reality, you have no clue. If you look close at the origin for a lot of the 3ZC Store items, it's out of Batesburg, SC. ;) An item direct from Z1 via the group buy will indeed come from GA in Z1 tape, so what's the big deal there? I don't think you understand the "option" very well. The jspec fascia with shaved option is just that....an option. If you want it shaved you can have it shaved as an option for some extra $$. If you don't want them to shave it then they will send you a regular one without the extra shaving fee.

I would also prefer to shave it myself

I was thinkin about this too. But isn't it pretty tough to shave? Im not to much into bodywork but once you cut the bracket off wouldn't there be a big hole because its a plastic mold? So what do you fill the hole with? Fiberglass?

Yes, it would be cheaper to shave the bumper yourself but it'll also be a pita.
Most shops will charge anywhere from $100-200 to shave that plate.
If you don't want to wait, $180 for the option isn't a bad deal.

If i hadn't just bought a "used" shaven Jspec bumper, i'd be all over this groupbuy.

Haha yes but you have to blend paint. You have to blend the new paint into the old paint, its called feathering. The old paint isn't going to be exactly the same color because of sun fade and general wear and tear from the environment. I mean you can go ahead and just paint the bumper by its self but its probably going to look a little off from the rest of the car. That personally would bug me every time I look at the car haha.

Computers color match paints pretty well but if they were to send you a painted bumper there would be no color matching, it would just be OEM color which would most likely be darker than your paint. I got paint matching touch up paint for my car and its way darker than the actual color of my car now.
