Cost of the software capable of doing the programming.
Cost of the time spent programming (you think people work for free?)
Cost of the cable to interface with the ECU.

And then there were the other setup costs that verified the changes won't destroy your car...

So...
cost of car.
cost of dyno time.

You think that's all only worth $20?

Sorry for butting in but wouldn’t it depend on if they have already recuperated their initial investment on equipment, labor, research. Since for the plug and play ECU they offer they just ask you what you have done to your car and give you a map that they have already created for your scenario. So if initial investment has been recuperated then they are making a hell of a profit at $20 since the chips are not that expensive.

On the other hand if its custom tuning then ya at $20 not making anything at all.

Bum you forgot the burner module. So if you have $10,000 invested how many $20 proms do you need to recoup that initial investment. Plus you'll need to figure in the time involved programing for each map to be used.

Since this is a vote on what we want to bring to the group buy. What does this have to do with the vote.

This is a fairly common trend with the Group Buys. I have pointed it out before. I don't really care since savings are still to be had at the GB price and I like the group buys so I don't want to bash the program. It does make you wonder "why" though.

The reasoning has always been that prices have gone up....yet every other vendor that sells the turbos has not raised the price...and shortly after the GB ends the price in the 3ZC store goes back to what it was before the price increase.

One big name vendor sells the same kit for $2095 (and that is their normal price).

PS - I'm glad the turbo's won, I have been waiting for the 600r's to come around again.
