I tentatively have plans to attend Znats, but was only planning to go down for the show on Saturday and take advantage of show pricing. I don't know what your schedule is like, but I was planning to leave very early (3am) Saturday morning, stay with a friend in ATL sat night and drive back home sunday AM. This probably doesn't help you any, but I agree I haven't found anyone else in NC that is going for the whole weekend.

I just talked to another member of our club here in Richmond and we have a couple others from Z club in Hampton that are going. I will be working up a schedule for the drive down Thursday. I believe so far we are meeting off 95 in Emporia around 9a.m. and heading south. I'll start looking at times and exits to meet off of for anyone taking the 95 route. Anyone north of me that wants to drive to richmond wed. and crash at my place is welcome.

First of all, I cringed with the jack in the middle of the car and jacking it up. Second, read the second comment someone from that shop made, LMAO.

I stopped watching about 5 seconds in when they're jacking the car in the middle like that..... The frame rails and rockers of that car are trash I'm sure. I wouldn't let that shop even touch one of my parts cars. I feel sorry for the NC guys who would take their cars to a shop like that. Pathetic.

Don't feel sorry for me, please. I know those guys personally, but I take my car to a buddy of mine who knows the Z32 from top to bottom. I'm actually taking it to him in the morning for my suspension overhaul. I've heard a lot of mixed things from the "Knightdale Z Shop". It has been over a year and a half since I last rode up to the shop...well it wasn't considered the shop then. For the record, I cringed when I saw them jacking the car up like that as well.

I know jacking the car up by the frame rail is a NO NO, but wouldn't it be different if the engine and transmission are out of the car? They are both out of the car in that video. From what I've learned, regardless if the transmission and engine are absent, doesn't justify jacking the car up by the frame rail.

This is the event that Z1 hosts, right? Then I wouldn't either. Of the hundred plus Z's at the event, it appears that less than a dozen of them are pre-1990 cars. Perhaps they should change the name of the event to Z32+ Nationals.

the first year i went in my Z31 I won my class...by default...only Z31 there! LOL
but I noticed last year there were about 10 or so, less than 90 Z in all flavors...most were restored or low milage originals...but yeah I expect tons of 350/370 Z's this year...
It shows 9 GTR's registered for track day alone.

We make every effort to make the Z31 guys feel welcome at our events. We would love to see more of them come out, and have seen a steady increase in the Z31's presence at the Z Nationals. I believe that there are alot of great looking Z31's out there, whether or not they decide to attend is by their own choice. Although we do not service the Z31 here at Z1, we still have respect for all Z owners and their vehicles and have never disciminated or shunned any Z owners at all.

It's not your fault. Well, it is kinda, but I'm not blaming you. You don't provide any services for the older generations. You guys are known as the Z32/Z33 shop. So naturally, when you guys have a show, none of the older generations hear about it or even consider going. I'm mostly annoyed by the name. Your show doesn't represent the entire spectrum of the Z. So how do you justify calling it a "Z National" event? Same thing that irritates the **** out of me about the "300ZX Calendar" from Downshift you guys sell. Not once have I ever seen a Z31 in the calendar. So how can it be called a 300ZX calendar when all the 300ZX models aren't represented? Shouldn't it just be called the Z32 calendar?

Good point AZ-ZBum. But as Dustin said we invite everyone to our events. Our show very much does respesent the entire spectrum. The GA Z club comes in full force with a wonderful display of cars. There is no need to get annoyed with the name of the show if people don't choose to show there cars. The calender pics are submitted on TT.net and a vote is taken for the vehicles to be displayed in the calender. Maybe Downshift should also post on 3ZC to solve this issue.
