300ZX Nationals in Atlanta (pics and a short video)

Hey everyone, made it to Atlanta in tonight about 5pm in a nice caravan of Zs from South Carolina. Headed to the track at Talladega in the morning for some road course fun. Just thought I would start a thread to post some pics and vids from this HUGE Z meet. Ive got my MegaMount for my camcorder so I should get some awesome video tomorrow from the track and the cruise afterwards. You should see the parking lot at this hotel......its like Z heaven!! :pimp:

BRANSON, I know someone from your area coming. Then you can head over to Zdayz. Art Singer from Nissan Sport is supposed to be at Branson and then head to Nissan Corp, then on to Zdayz.

One of these days some of us are going to make it to Z1 nationals.

my camera got packed up with all of the photos on it into the Z1 truck while I was doing corner work....so I cant post pics tonight.

But Zeroflake got a ton of awesome footage today so he is going to try and rip a little bit of that up and post something tonight. We are at the hotel with laptops and beer.....everyone wish us luck.

All I know is this is making me wanna go home and take out a loan and buy another Z.
I didnt get too many pictures I was out holding a boom mic for most of the day. Better pictures will come from tomorrow at z1's shop.

This DVD that they are putting together is going to turn out great. Ryan and the guys are working really hard to get lots of great footage and its going to turn out primo. Modified Magazine and Nissan Sport also has photographers here to cover the event. Hope to meet a few more of you guys there tomorow!!

weather has been perfect and the turn out today was SUPER STRONG. I would estimate a total of 200 cars for today (Gs, S30s, Z31s, 32s, and 33s) Got some great pics, im downloading them out of the camera now.....

Malcom, great hanging out with you! The whole show was incredible. First of many. I was very impressed by the variety of Z's, ranging from show cars to power monsters. I got to meet a few members that I haven't met, which rocked. The show was well organized and never a dull moment. I have 125 pics, so I guess I'll be getting to work.

yeah, there was a lot of video being shot.

There will be a DVD for sale in a couple of months and Zeroflake is going to produce something also. There were some incar cameras getting on track footage as well.

How'd you rig up your DVX in the Z like that? I have a DVX as well and have been wanting to find an inexpensive way to set it up in my Z

I was up there on sat. I drove up with 2 other Z. It was good day up there perfect weather and alot of great cars. O and I also won a nismo radiator cap in the give away so just made the trip even better.

I have never been to ZCON so I am not sure but I asked Jody (Jodecy) that same question. He said that where there was maybe 200 cars at Nationals there would be maybe 300 or so at ZCON. Having been to Nationals the last 2 years I cant believe how much it grew in just one year.

Mal - The kid from Tennesee didn't show or even call. His loss, is really my gain as I was not to enthused to see her go. Yellow is a very fun and solid car. She didn't skip a beat in 700+ miles. {however, if she sold, it would have helped the budget for my red slicktop TT conversion :) plan}

Yeah, like me in the first turn after the start finish line straightaway. After 7 or 8 laps with brakes boiling, entered way to hot, spun 270 and drove backwards through the barrels useing my rear view mirror. SCCA guy said "nice save" :eek: :)
