Sony decks are typically a good match for Z's due to their sensitive tuners. I have a few plug and play "Sony to Z32" harnesses left, I believe.

The first thing I'd do is check and see if the car still has the original Bose enclosures. If so, the best / simplest option would be exact fit JBL speakers for them. You can also use high impedance Bose drivers, but they won't sound that great without tweeters / biamplification.

If by chance your car still has the four original enclosures, you really only need the following pieces:

    deck
    dash harness
    speaker harnesses
    replacement speakers

If you find no enclosures to work with, then you'll have to make some other decisions...based on cost, sound quality, installation time, etc.

If you have any more questions, email me directly. I still check that at least two or three times a week: [email protected]

I'm going to need to do an install of an aftermarket stereo for my 91Z. It didn't come with the OEM stereo or anything when I bought it, and have no idea if somebody has been into the system. I am thinking I would like to use a Sony head unit I have. I don't know how good the Bose speakers and amps are, and would like to not use them and have everything modern. I looked for a website or email address I could check out to see what you sell for this or posts that would send me in the right direction. I'm not an audiophile, and don't need to have a killer system. I just want to be able to listen to music when I want. Not sure if this is all too vague, but so many of the posts I've read don't really apply to what I want to do. Its a 91 300ZX TT, and what ever I take out can be used in my other 91 TT that still has the original system to keep that one going. Thanks. Keith.
