    Hey Andy!

I just saw your messages. It sounds like you are true to your form with some totally different way going about your intake system. I assume you will work out the issue of pipes occupying your headlight space late. The image I get in my mind of such a controlled large plenum with long pipes leading to it... Reminds me of Alien. Like some alien engine with some feeding lines connected to it.
I'd like to say I'd be really surprised if you got bothering messages when you go live with it. If you do, myself and others will make their idiocracy out to like like what it is.

With that short straight length are you still keeping the adjustable length feature idea?
If you think about how bad carbureted engines deliver fuel to each cylinder, I don't think you could possibly position your injectors in much of a harmful position. I think many people will be excited to see what you have done! I look forward to it!

I will be fitting a large balance bar between each airbox, but not bothering with an AIV at kick off - rather waiting to see if I can get away without one - but if it makes life easier I will add one to one of the boxes later. Or maybe put the AIV on the balance bar.

No engine management either yet so... and I have a chipped ECU that will need loads of work on the Dyno I suspect.

Can you spare a min to dwell on the spec. as rough as it is above and let me know your thoughts - I know I will get killed out there when I go live with this, but like you I don't give a stuff - it's my car so...

    Any help appreciated.

    Andy

    Standard'ish engine 300BHP - that's 50BHP per cylinder
Ideally this should work best with 40-42mm ID runners on an NA injected motor - but this is forced induction so 50-60 is in the ballpark. So with the wider runners @60mm - even allowing for the lower flow resistance, I believe the longer runners will deliver advantage - but I cant calculate the power range as accurately as I would like - I believe 3-6500rpm at the moment but.... Real world tests will be needed!
The (555) injectors are still near the valves but nearly 45cm from the butterfly, but the butterfly is 60MM so this should be fine I feel. Lower revving engines <9000 and those with injectors placed before the butterfly will generally accept a larger body Jenvey say.

    Hi Eke,

Need your opinion on something before I go live - my plenum has turned into a monster mod and I need someone to tell me to stop!! lol!

The runners you have seen have now been mated with a 2nd short runner length section and then each runner terminates into a 60mm throttle body attached to an ally collector plate with a a carbon collector box and a 60mm feed. The 60mm feed comes straight up from the IC through where the headlights used to be! Looks freaking amazing but I am nowhere near getting her running yet. And I am wondering if it will work... Hence my email for moral (and technical input/support)!

Have done a lot of sums and calcs based generally on, runner diameter, runner length, distance from the valves to the butterfly, size of airbox, resonance, power banding etc. My head is going to explode real soon! ;-))

    Cheers - you too.
Hope you did not mind me posting my thoughts regarding your mould bracing - I don't think it's enough - and I don't want you to break all your hard work!
I have done it twice - and you need at least the bracing in the pictures I just posted.

How many layers of glass are on the buck Eksster?
