    Dear Russell,

    I am a very frustrated Z1 customer. I spent over $32,000 at Z1 to upgrade my 300zx to a twin turbo. $26k was paid upfront before the job began. The job was poorly done with many deficiencies. The car took nearly a year to perform the work when it was supposed to take only a couple of months. Each month, John had a new excuse with why my car was being delayed. Z1 requested that I pay an extra $6k above the quoted price before they would release the car back to me. When it arrived it had: leaky fuel lines, leaky exhaust system (with dangerous CO2 levels being pumped into the cockpit) that required new gaskets, a malfunctioning fuel regulator, a poorly installed harness that was melting on the exhaust, a severely dented oil pan, an engine that was running so lean that we had to take it off the dyno because it was knocking so bad, a dangerously untighten front wheel assembly, unaligned wheels even though I was charge for a full alignment, an uncleaned engine bay. In addition, I was charged for Highflow cats that I never receive because they were either defective or blown out by Z1 and the manufacturer refused to refund Z1 so John refuses to refund or credit me. It's been over 14 months since I've gotten my car back and John had promised me it would be taken care of but this week he said that I would not be refunded because if Z1 did that for every customer, Z1 would not make any money. I've requested a partial discount on future purchase but no action has been taken. I had to spend over $3,500 with other mechanics to correct all of the problems with the engine swap and upgrades performed by Z1. I'm extremely frustrated and am torn between either complaining on-line or by writing a full story of my experience with Z1. I don't want to do that but I would like to find a way to get this settled. Of course, Z1 could refuse but cannot believe that after all the money that Z1 charged me (no discounts and a $6k additional charge) that Z1 cannot find a way to settle this. I am writing you this to see if you can intervene and come to a settlement.
