Yes I bought the hatch used and it is supposed to be a VIS racing hatch because the guy was an authorized dealer that sold it to me (no authenticity badges and the weave was larger than my VIS hood but he seemed to be trustworthy). It fit well but I had to custom drill holes for all of the interior panels but I got them to fit well. Some of the bolts were not interchangeable from the factory hinges but I just had to buy some new ones the correct size. One downside is because it is lighter than the factory one the struts will make it fly open even with the factory glass installed when you hit the hatch release. At the same time I had to reinforce the spots where the struts mount to the hatch because the previous owner found that they were not good enough and some of the gelcoat cracked. The fit was not factory 100 percent but pretty good I would say because I did not have to mess around adjusting it too much(still not 100 percent because of the gap between the top of the glass and body by the t tops). If you want perfect then just get a replacement OEM hatch but I am pretty happy with mine although I purchased it used for about $650 Canadian and I think new they are about $1100 U.S new. Also because it is a lighter hatch if you hit bumpy roads my hatch has a little bit of give so it rattles a bit but I have not really messed around with the latch too much which could close the small gap I guess. I did end up getting an OEM wing and 3M taped it to the hatch plus the rear bolts(I did not drill holes on the sides) which helped with the rattles and weight so the hatch did not fly open when I would pull the lever. Hey travis, i was just wondering how your cf hatch fits. I'm thinkin about getting one so i want to find all the draw backs and stuff. The guy that had the car before me mounted the wing wrong so i'm gettin hatch rot, so i figured i want to lighten my car up a little bit as well as mix it up a bit lol. Was it hard to mount and did you use the glass from your old hatch? thanks
