Just booked my flights from the UK. I'll be driving down from Nebraska with Rayder.

I agree with Chris though on a few of his points. The way registration and general organizing seemed rather farcical.

I am committed to something in Kansas City that Saturday so my plan is to come down Thursday and visit who I can and come back Friday.

IF you guys all owned Z31's, there would be plenty of vending available at BZF waiting for your hard earned dollars! ;)

I just bought a 93 zx and live in kc, the car definitely needs some love though, is this something even to consider going to in my car till its in presentable condition?

Re: Branson Z Fest 2015!

ABSOLUTELY!! I can assure, you, regardless how bad YOU think your car is, I promise you there have been worse there. (Anyone remeber the Z31s from a couple of years ago? One was painted a purple(?) pink(?) metalflake.

Branson Z Fest, or any Z gathering is a great place to learn about your car and get ideas of what you want to do to yours. Z owners LOVE to talk about their cars and give you pointers. BZF could be considered a 24/48/or 72 hour tech session.

BTW, are you friends with a Porsche owner named Jim? Last initial starts with G? If so he contacted me about you. Feel free to join the Heart of America Z Car Club for it's annual Super Bowl party to be held at Brewbakers in Lenexa on Renner Road. Starts at 5-ish pm. We are having a canned food drive so your "price of admission" will be a few cans of soup.

Heart of America Z Car Club on Facebook or www.hazcc.com .

Long time listener, first time poster... =)

Life has taken over as of late for me. Still one of the best events I have attended. Regardless of the show, its the people that make BZF. I will come if I can make it. No promises. I will be in the middle of selling 2 homes and relocating. If I can I will though.

Yes, the bonds and the friendships that have been built over the years is what keeps bringing people back to Branson Z Fest. Screwed up tshirt deliveries, screwed up cars shows, et. al. seems to take a back seat to everything else.

You know its got to be the people and friends if we still show up for it!

BTW Dan the pink and purple metal flake Z31's from a few years ago...that was not paint on those cars it was duct tape, all done in 8 to 10" pieces, the owners were into drifting and that was the easiest way to repair body damage and cover it up. I talked to one of them they were having a blast he said they wished we could have a drifting contest or display on the area before or after the show. Told him about Matt "accidentally" drifting the GTR on the grounds and the girl peeing in the seat!

Re: Branson Z Fest 2015!

Yup that was boat vinyl tape. LOL

Zac and Taylor are some goofballs.
So are the rest of us Z31 guys. :D

I mean, we've graduated to full on tomfoolery now

The last I heard the most experienced Z mechanics in KC are at McCarthy Nissan in Olathe. Members of HAZCC get a bit of a discount.

Re: Branson Z Fest 2015!

Chris, HAZCC is very much around. You may be thinking of Kansas City Z Club. I beieve they have shut down their website and Facebook page. Some have joined Heart of America Z Car Club/HAZCC.

I was President of HAZCC until December 2014 when I "retired".

BTW, there is similar confusion in St. Louis. There is Gateway Z Car Club and a St. Louis Z Club. When people refer to "the St. Louis Z Club", they were actually referring to Gateway.

Well, it appears the website and Registration is finally open....mistakes and all. If you are registering, it appears he's charging a service fee for credit cars.

T-shirts are $20 to $25 extra.

Twisted Six 03-06-2015 04:27 PM

Re: Branson Z Fest 2015!

I wont be registering. If I come at all, its just going to be a day trip to say hi to everyone. I won't be needing a room or registering for the event.

Good stuff! Ray Smelich and I should roll in sometime Thursday, I had wanted to get there a little earlier, but it's cool. Think we're doing sushi on the Friday...
