I hope it doesn't...If I was going to drop 2500 bucks it definately wouldn't be on AMS mani's or GT600's.

On my 3rd one. rubber section keeps breaking due to "air pocket" in the rubber its self. What are your thoughts on the ams?

We have had a few come back in the past six months and made a few changes to the design in an attempt to completely resolve the issue. Overall I don't think more than 4-5 have come back out of hundreds sold.
Install note: when installing the shift knob and it doesn't line up correctly do not gorilla grip the shift knob around until it does.
There are a few options to get it to line up correctly.
Teflon tape, small piece of rubber hose inside the shift knob, and loctite (install a small amount and then position and wait for the loctite to dry before using)

You guys have sold hundreds of short shifters in the past 6 months? I wasn't aware that short shifters were in such high demand. I'm in the wrong business. lol

Why do you recommend loctite'ing your shift knob? Would that not just make it a hassle any time you are removing the interior down the transmission tunnel??

I have the Z1 shifter and after trying 3 different shifters prior to going to the Z1 it is definitely the best I have had by a huge margin.
