I am pretty sure I'm coming this year, really no excuse since the drive isn't that bad. From what I remember of the area there are some pretty sweet roads out there. Pics from previous years look like all sorts of shenanigans. I enjoy shenanigans.

Surely there will be a few coming from the KC Metro...count me in if I ever get this stupid harness through the firewall.

Yes, there is always a lot of Kansas City people arriving on all different days. There is usually a caravan from Omaha that comes through as well.
If you're on Facebook, hook up on the Branson Z Fest Group page. That's where most people communicate and coordinate.

Pickle just posted on DBA there is again new management and event manager. He is still in negotiations but will wrap it up soon.

Yup, this is the first stumbling stone debacle we encounter every year when it comes to BZF......just getting the registration open.... When I ran the site, it was open by now....I usually opened it shortly after the first of the year..... We had that luxury for 2 years, back in 07 and 08 iirc.... been the same old last minute nightmare since.....

To further complicate things, Pickle lives in K.C. but, as I understand it, works in Chicago....commuting there weekly.

I'm not sure when he has the time to work with the hotel about the event.

My starter issue is fixed due to my grandfather in law. Without even asking he was able to get my black Z' starter off. My parts car Z was not too bad. My black Z had different size bolts on it. I just couldn't get it off. Now I'm getting her ready for BZF. Now if registration would open up.

Still 'no bueno'. Lt.Dan tried to book a room last week for 'Branson Z fest' under the preferential rate and they didn't know what he was talking about.

I'll be in Branson in a couple of weeks and thought I'd stop by the hotel in person.

I just looked at the Branson Z Fest page on Facebook and there seems to be confusion about "registering" for BZF and "Reserving" a room for BZF.

These are 2 totally separate actions. Reserving a room at the hotel does NOT register you for BZF.

Registering a room at the Ramada does NOT register you for BZF.

The hotel has nothing to do with registration and it serves no purpose to interrogate them about it.

True Dan I understand that. But what I was saying before I deleted my comment was that in order to get the reduce rate we had to wait for registration. I know they are seperate. Just another reason registration should have been open. Poking the fire a bit. But I deleted it because I would have sounded like an asshole to Fran. And that was not the person I was aiming for.

And btw Heather, with the Ramada, knew exactly what BZF registration was.

Yes, I understand. My comment on FB may have seem directed at you but it was meant as a broad ranging statement. I apologize if you took offense.

Some of us here are veterans of Branson Z Fest before it was called Branson Z Fest. Every year we deal with the same frustrations i.e. no communication from the boss man and the website and registration opening late. Sometimes getting him to even confirm the dates is like pulling teeth.

I want to be sure that people's frustration be pointed where it should be.

I'm not sure we met last year but looking forward to meeting you this year.

BTW, I went back and deleted my last comment from Facebook.

Lol all good brother. I was the fat guy in the non turbo black Z. My wife was gimped up on crutches. And there was absolutely no offense. Just wanted you vets to know I knew they were separate is all. Sorry if I came off harsh. Anyway I'll make it a point to make meet you for sure this year.

"... I have been told that things will be moving quickly now. May 29th to June 1st are the posted dates, but like stated before, people start showing up 3 and 4 days early to extend the experience."

Just one of the things about ZFest, IF we knew the confirmed dates every year on the same date and IF registration was open early every year on the same date. It wouldn't be Z Fest time
