Thats a load of bunk. not a year gone by where we didn't have spectators come look at the cars. Its pickle trying to scare people into registering.

I thought so. Obviously if you don't register then you don't get the perks but the way it's said, it sounds like "no registration, no car show seeing".

You can still see the car show, you just won't be a participant in the show.

I can still see my friends without being registered. Unless you want to participate in the show, there's absolutely no reason to register IMO. All the cruises are "unofficial" anyway, so again, registration is not needed. Appearing as a spectator is not illegal, immoral, or a crime against humanity....nor is it boycotting.

Agreed, which is why I no longer participate in planning or supporting the chinese firedrill that has become BZF for the last few years. Z1 making a first-time appearance is the only bright light for BZF at this point....and for the sponsorship BZF *USED* to have, I find that sad.

I'm not sure if I'm coming Friday, a lot is depending on weather, and its not looking good. The last 3 years we've camped at the parking structure at the Landing, dodging hailstones....don't know if I want to do it for a 4th year in a row. BZF 2013, we went on ZERO cruises because of crappy weather....mama nature has been cruel the last few years.

I wouldn't have a problem paying for the event if I was actually going to get to stay for a few days. As it is I'm going to head south tomorrow to do some driving and may make a stop in Branson. I may also go back down Saturday depending on the weather and would like to stop at the car show but I probably won't be in the Z then.

If it's raining and nasty Sat I will be heading the other direction to race my dirtbike. I'm slow but durable and mud gives me an advantage.

Definitely looks like rain on/off for Friday. Saturday is 50/50 now with sun and Monday looking great.

I made my trip down to Branson this morning and went through the parking lot of the Ramada and only saw a couple of Z cars. Thought they might be doing the Peel Ferry cruise so I headed out that way and had an excellent run down 125 but never saw another Z. Cruised back through the hotel again and still only a couple of Zs. It wasn't until I was leaving the hotel the back way that I looked over my shoulder and saw where the Z section was but by that time I had to leave to get home. It was my father in laws 70th b-day party and didn't want to miss that.

I guess I am more used to Corvette weekend in Eureka Springs. There are Vettes everywhere.

Ran into a bunch of downpours north of Springfield but otherwise it was dry.

I drove to Branson yesterday and was in rain all the way from Kansas City to Springfield. It was dry from Springfield to Branson and dry the 16 or so hours I was there.
Coming home just now, it was dry from Branson to Springfield then rain, sometimes VERY heavy, from Springfield to Kansas City.
Possible reasons you saw so few Zs at the hotel:
1. Traditionally, on Friday people head to Eureka Springs.
2. Today was also the drag strip and fun cross event although I'm not sure what time that started.
3. There was also a dyno day scheduled but not sure what day.

You got lucky....it pissed and poured most the way there friday morning....and pissed and poured even harder all the way back Friday night. I couldn't believe how barren the parking lot was Friday night. never seen it so desolate!

It was great to see a lot of the 'regulars' again, as I do every year. I'm hoping that taking this year off along with some changes in the planning structure will revitalize the love for a great event that has gone sour....and maybe we can have a BZF rebirth in 2016!

Yes, I did see improvement this year and am encouraged about the future. As I have done the last 2 years, I go to hangout with many of you.
Attendance was definitely down due to, I'm sure< ZCON in Memphis and the weather.
BTW, Friday night was Funkysi's Sushi Soiree. Everyone may have been there.

My daughter and I just returned from the car show and had a great time looking around. Did look like a smaller turnout than some of the pics I have seen of previous years but there were still lots of nice Z cars. I definitely plan on going next year and will probably stay for a few days.

I'd actually be up for that! I remember when I first started going to Z fest I'd take off work a whole year ahead of time because it was such a blast! I wish we could get Cory, Keith, and Mike back again as well.
