Re: Branson Z Fest 2014!

I missed having the guys from my first trip to BZF. This one was fine. Only thing that was noticable was there was definitely fewer Z's there. 99.99% of the people were awesome. I do regret missing the camping situtation were a paid guest nearly ended anothers life, with good reason that is.

It was great to see Chris and Steve. When both left that whole section of rooms was emptied. I'll be back in a couple of years....unless it's no longer BZF.

Re: Branson Z Fest 2014!

Wish I could have made it this year. Z is apart getting ready for the drive to Zcon. Kept see updates and pictures from people over the week/weekend which didn't help . But I agree looking at the pics it appeared to be a much smaller turn out than last year. But I kind of expected that from the previous talk on here.

Re: Branson Z Fest 2014!

Don't get me wrong. The people were absolutely awesome. They were friendly and helpful in every way. The only thing is you would have never known we were there for BZF if you hadn't seen a shirt every now and then. Unorganized and almost non existent promotion. I had a lot of people asking me why we were there. Not one flyer or banner. That's what happens when you throw things together at the last minute. I'm assuming there were funds since $4000 was donated to Wounded Warriors. You have to spend on an event.

But again, it was fun and I had a great time. I wish I could go next year. I may skip 2 just so I can see Lucian again.

Had a great time and it was great seeing everyone....... This was the most scatterbrained and most disorganized BZF in my 9 year history though....

Chris, I heard many share your opinion. One of the mistakes they made was posting, what I consider "critical announcements", on Facebook. They announced registration was open in 30 minutes, registration is open, registration closes in 30 minutes, etc. without giving a specific time.

Also, as soon as a "critical announcement" was posted, within minutes it would be buried by other posts and minutia .

Who stayed for the car show and awards ceremony? How smoothly did that go?

Yeah I found out rides by checking Facebook. Hell it was a total cluster to organize. I stayed for the show but didn't even make rounds. I didn't go to the ceremony. Why not get phone numbers and send out mass texts. Something, anything to alert us of group activity. But this is year 12. The guy in charge should have figured this out already.

Re: Branson Z Fest 2014!

Didn't take a computer with me, nor do I have a smartphone so those updates weren't worth a shit to me. Didn't go to Branson to be on my computer or phone all the time.

Could have stayed home and stayed on the computer.

Re: Branson Z Fest 2014!

Just an observation, for what it's worth....

We are almost at exactly 7 days since the car show ended and the awards ceremony. The winners of the car show STILL are not available.

Pinckard posted Wednesday on Facebook he compiled the list and was going to double check it and post Wednesday night. That hasn't happened.... Why am I not surprised?

If anyone knows who won what, please share. I know some of my club members won and would like to public acknowledge it.

Pickle needs to get the facebook dick out of his ass. All BZF-related information and communications should be handled through the BZF WEBSITE!!

I think my BZF ventures of the future will be relegated to every other year. Pickle has successfully sucked the life out of the event, and I'm really not interested in it anymore. Personally, I would love to see Paul & Nick Brown take over......but that would require pickle to step out.....
