If you're new to the ZCCA conventions, you may not realize that there have been many west-coast based conventions. Next year's will be the 25th (25 years of conventions...).
Location is all based on a club's willingness to host it. If a club in Hawaii wanted to host, it's possible (not sure how I'd ship my car...but you get the point). We could have several west-coast conventions so long as west-coast clubs would volunteer to support/host the event.
