This was my fourth year attending Z Nationals, and the first time I was able to drive my Lady down. I had a wicked time, and will always look forward to the next event. Another awesome event hosted by Z1 and their sponsors. Job well done.

There were four z32's including my Lady and a z33 in the caravan to Georgia.

We checked into the hotel around 2:00 and arrived at Z1 around 4:00 for the cruise to the meet and greet down town. Crusing through numerous intersections with red lights and cops blocking traffic was awesome. I'd like to know exactly how many Z's were in the cruise. EPIC.

My Lady didn't know what to think with all of the other eye candy around her. She showed me a good time without any issues, just as any woman should. haha!

Jim and I didn't stay for the dinner, so we went to Longhorn's and had some cow meat, and proceeded to have several stout drinks at the hotel. A shot from my hotel room window.

Later that night..(I was just informed while creating this thread, about an hour after starting copying and pasting the IMG codes, that the owner of this Porsche totaled his car at the track Sunday afternoon. I feel for the guy, That was his pride and joy.

Saturday morning I made it to Z1 around 11am and couldn't believe how many Z's were crammed in the parking lot. I parked on the grass, where in the past...non Z cars would park. This show has definitely grown since my first attendance in 2009.

I was waiting in this lunch line until I realized what time it was. Luckily I had my friends in line waiting, so I was able to move my car when needed and snap some pictures. As soon as I parked her from the dyno, I was able to fill my empty stomach and continue on.

I took the picture not realizing I only captured the first pull. The second one was my highest at 356/364. I was hoping for more, but I've never had a tune after everything that's been installed, and a few people told me it was too warm for an accurate reading. I think it may be time for 2.5" piping and massives. o.0

After her long day I parked her under some shade and popped her top. The yellow Porsche next to her was a beauty. Original owner with 40k miles. You could eat full course meal off of any engine bay part. After the Banquet dinner I pulled up and parked in the hotel parking lot. Walked over to him and his son, and asked where they were heading while his father asks him which one he wants to drive (He also owns a Datsun Z that's under a car cover in the picture below) and choses the Datsun. I ask dad if I can ride with him in his Porsche, and he answers my question, with one, asking if I would like to drive her. I asked him if he was joking...he cranks her up, gets out of the car and walks over to the passenger side, leaving the driver's door open for me. I hop in and drive to the gas station, and was on cloud nine. If anyone knows this guy, I would like to get his contact info and thank him again. Really nice guy with two amazing cars.

After the Banquet we chilled (literally) in the parking lot for the rest of the night by the sickest car. My buddy wasn't able to bring his Lady due to a coolant leak so he made the trip anyways in his daily, a Honda Civic.

Thanks! It did suck that all of the z32's were near the entrance, but I liked how only the cars that were going to be judged were in the heart of the show. I didn't vote but I'm sure it makes the whole ordeal a lot easier. Feel free to post your pictures.

@ fRAME, Just so you and everyone else know, All of us Z32's in the grass were being judged and we was part of the show. I believe that's it is really messed up that many just like yourself thought we was not part of the show. We just got told to park on the grass cuz they ran out of room. Many of us really felt left out though and I feel We were not judged properly because of that as well. Especially when it came to the ppl's choice.

I didn't register to be in the car show, so I wasn't really concerned about having to park in the grass. I don't think the Z32's were judged unless you registered for the car show, but I could be wrong. I was just a little down to thinking the first year I bring my Z to this event, she would be in the heart of the show. Next year I'll show her whether she wins anything or not. Definitely won't stop me from driving her down for this show, regardless if she's on the grass, or parked outside of Z1.

The theme was to showcase a HUGE assortment of products in a way that would illustrate how to install them, their placement on the engine, their purpose....because we thought it would be cool. I REALLY REALLY want to complete the display and do the full chassis.

I always wonder why they are Multi lugg wheel? like much cheaper wheels are. Not saying that they are but a lot of cheap wheels are normaly like that

@ fRAME, Just so you and everyone else know, All of us Z32's in the grass were being judged and we was part of the show. I believe that's it is really messed up that many just like yourself thought we was not part of the show. We just got told to park on the grass cuz they ran out of room. Many of us really felt left out though and I feel We were not judged properly because of that as well. Especially when it came to the ppl's choice.

For the record and for whoever felt left out, I was one of the 4 judges at the show this year. We had cars all over the complex and all of us ensured that we had consistent and complete assessments of each and every car. We made several announcements and we made several passes through the cars on the grass starting at 10:45am as Draco pointed out. There were tons of Z32's in the show and many of them were considerably similar. One point may have separated one car from another. Thats the law of averages. Actually, the judging criteria at this show, I believe was far more consistent and standardized than any show I have ever judged before. Usually you are assigned a "class" of car/s and left to judge at your own discretion. This show we used two judges per class and we worked together on each car to reduce individual "taste and bias" in the scoring. I hope that clears any animosity anyone felt at the show.

I think you guys did a great job. We see this every year(people not placing due to mods of their taste). The judges rocked this year and we really respect the amount of time they took to get all of the vehicles judged. The reason a lot of cars were in the grass was due to the lot being packed. On my 15 minute lunch break I walked around the entire complex to look at cars. I was able to see a lot of crowd pleasers and a lot of cars that were built to the owners own unique taste.

All in all no one should feel that they were left out. We made sure the judges were picked that had four totally different builds and ideas but attained a great knowledge and respect for the platform we have all come to love.

Thanks John! We spent alot of time on each car and that's what took so much time. Again, several show's I have judged in years past, the organizers give each judge a class and allow full objective discretion on each car, so if he/she didn't like a particular modification or setup, he judged it poorly. This was set up with the least bias possible and I commend you guys for doing that! Keep up the great work!

I didn't feel left out or mind parking in the grass, even if I was registered to be judged. This just goes to show you how much this show has grown. Next year I won't drink so much and get up at a decent time to get there early morning rather than noon. haha!

The Z32 owner should also take note of this sign of the times. The Z33 and Z34 are now the Z of focus and the Z32 is slowly moving into the back ground. The increasing numbers of Z33's and Z34's attending Z Nationals ( and other major Z events) and the increasing number of products being developed and produced for those Z's from Z1 (and other companies), point to that direction. Just like the Z31.

This was my fourth year in attendance, and it has definitely grown year after year, hence my statement of how much the show has grown. I could care less if the Z32's were parked in the grass, I actually like parking in the grass, even though I was on a clay cliff that made my Lady look higher than she actually was, but it's obvious the newer generation Z's are becoming more popular than the Z32. You'd be stupid not to notice this.

I couldn't park in the grass Z was just too low to get over the curb drainage thingy

Well I had an decent time. First year of attending Z1 nationals. Good turn out, met some good people, there were things that made my experience not great. Do appreciate Fresh Alloy sponsoring my entry. So Overall was a decent show. Here is my coverage pics, I didn't see any other RHD nor car with vertical doors. Lol oh well.

I didn't do any filming while at Z Nationals. I meant that I'm in the video, but you have to pause the video to see me because of how fast the video is playing.
