Sweet....do you have any pics of your progress. I would love to see pics of the lower plenum, and those throttle bodys. Man it sounds like your ride will be sweet as hell once that ECU get's back to you.

I would ask canyoncarver. It seems that he has been messing with Z for a good long time. What happen to the ECU? And the shitty part about upgrading there is always going to be stress and pia times, but once she's done...ohh...man she will be nice!!

alright...I read your post last night and I can't get it out of my head. The only thing I can think of I don't think will work with our Z motors. But it may be worth a shot. Put a jack with a board on the motor, undue the motor mounts and try to jack that left side of the motor up. I don't think that will have any room to jack up the motor because of it's sweet azz massive and lil engine bay. You would also have to loosen the trans from the motor which means either putting it on the ground or putting support under it and letting it set there till you can get to the canister. I don't know if this will work with a Z... I did it do a 4cyc fwd. It's the only thing I could think of with out taking the trans out. Even though I think your going to have to do remove it anyway. hmm...sorry

Just had another thought...down here every summer in June or July we have scrappin the coast. Which is our import and lowered trucks car show. It coast 50 bucks for two days, and you enter your car and run around checking peeps car's out. Then at night fall we all head to our local drag stripe and run our cars and what not, which is also apart of the entering fee so you don't have to pay a second time.

That's ****ing hilerous that's where I worked for six years. That's sounds freakin sweet what your doing to her. I've put a fidanza short throw, I did my timing, installed a momo steering wheel and now my suspension is next. I have an enegry master kit, my suspension was dying for some attention. I also have an extra intake that I'm working on port and polish and polishing the outside. I have peeps withs shops that allow me to come and go as I please. One which is helping me with the port and polish of the intake. I don't know which one gets me off more sexy cars or upgrades coming in and the joy of installing them. Hmmmm...I love upgrades

I love being a grease munkey, a mechanic friend always tells me I get too dirty. I'm figure it's something you can't avoid so what's the difference.I also just figured out that you are 3 hours away.
When I worked at a part store it was freakin hilarious. I got a pretty big rep for my knowledge which led to people not knowing me walking in and asking for the short, long black haired girl that worked there because there buddy told them to come and see me only... or the ones that would walk in and look at me and ask for a guy because they wanted real help and my guy employees inturn telling them they have the best help. I'm not trying to brag, I just get a kick at how people will stereotype a person like me into car. Example, guys will pull up next to me in the bad mustangs or camaro's and I look at them. The light turns green and I say goodbye and then they will give me excess why they didn't win. Even though, I don' street race alot on the streets. Only when the timing and traffic is right, I did when I was younger but I got tired of paying tickets.

I've own a 76'Nova, 80 Camaro Z28, 90 Camaro, and a Mazda (which some old lady totaled out for me) I figured out quickly that old cars are a higher maintenance. So, I went to imports because I like there motor's better then American motors. When my Z puts down a v8 it just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Sorry I will talk alot when it comes to cars. It's my passion, hobby all that good stuff. My z is my child.
