THAT IS EXACTLY HOW I FEEL. and yea i worked at O'reillys and the same thing happened to me. from what your saying you sound pretty much like the female version of me. lol everybody talks shit about how much i care about my car and will DEFINATELY hurt someone severly for messin with my car. she is my baby and my pride and joy. im actually working on my car right now lol.in the process of ALOT haha. z1 740cc upgrade kit with lower plenum, timing belt, port upper plenum, z1 upgraded throttle bodies, tb coolant bypass, egr delete, rps 6 puck, fidanza lght wght flywheel. i could do nothing but work on my baby for days on end which i have been doing. past week i have only slept 3 night others were up working on my baby.

yes very true they are very ditsy and very annoying. i think its so bad ass when girls like to actually WORK on their own car and dont mind gettin greasy. im definately one of the biggest gear heads around these parts. lol. me and own a transmission shop. cars is my passion lol.

i am really the only tt i know within a few hours of me. and all the others are old people, ricer punks, or atleast an hr away. but i would go to a meet but i never hear of any near here. and thats crazy a female gearhead lol. in my town not possible. have never seen one in person. all the girls around here know bring it to daddy when it messes up lol.

I am new to this site, so here's a little bit about me and my Z. I have a 96 300zx na 5spd, that I drove 900 miles one way to pick up. I am the second owner of my jewel. Naturally, all of us with 300's have problems that come and go more often then other cars. Which, doesn't bother me any, gave me a better reason to get to know my motor quicker . I've own my Nissan for 1 year and 4 months, and I am a gear head. I prefer to do all the work on my car, and I love working on my Z. I am also a chick, but I've been into cars since I was 16 and worked at a parts store for 6 years. My Z purr's like a kitten and her motor is still pretty young. I've upgraded my shifter, installed a Momo steering wheel and now working on putting my energy suspension kit in.

I think it's a matter of preference and style. I know a guy that had a 500+ h.p. Z with the Borla exhaust. He swore by it. The sound was subtle and looked pretty stock. I liked it myself.

The HKS has a pretty good following. It's considered a little more ricey than alot of exhausts. It is quite a bit louder than the Borla. Guys n Gals are running it on everything from stock to high h.p. motors

I like the look of the HKS set-up when I see it too.
