Hey buddy,

I'm looking to pull the trigger and order a double din for the Z in the next few days, hoping to get lucky on a black friday sale. Ideally something with android auto and good sound quality. Also if possible it would be awesome to be able to hook it up to nissan datascan for some real time data. You commented on a thread of mine a while back about a Sony but I know new stuff is always hitting the market. Looking to spend around $600 max on the head unit. Got any suggestions?

Sorry about the delayed reply. For some reason the forum won't send me any notices...has been that way for a couple years. In the future, if you send me an email directly, I check that all day, every day and can get back to you sooner. It's just by chance that I checked the forum tonight.

I'm going to need to do an install of an aftermarket stereo for my 91Z. It didn't come with the OEM stereo or anything when I bought it, and have no idea if somebody has been into the system. I am thinking I would like to use a Sony head unit I have. I don't know how good the Bose speakers and amps are, and would like to not use them and have everything modern. I looked for a website or email address I could check out to see what you sell for this or posts that would send me in the right direction. I'm not an audiophile, and don't need to have a killer system. I just want to be able to listen to music when I want. Not sure if this is all too vague, but so many of the posts I've read don't really apply to what I want to do. Its a 91 300ZX TT, and what ever I take out can be used in my other 91 TT that still has the original system to keep that one going. Thanks. Keith.

I hear you are the Bose guru. I am looking to restore the bose system in my '90. I have the five speakers (untested), the original boxes, the original amps (untested), and by the end of the week, I should have two '90 bose head units. One I know for sure doesn't work. Do you know of any that are in working order?

Also, I was told that you repair bose amps. Is this true? If so, how much do you charge?

90' model Bose amps aren't modular and have to be repaired. That being the case, you may want to consider other alternatives.

Hey Dane, the rear d.s. bose curcit board in my 90 is fried. Do you have one on hand I can buy off you?
