Thumbs up ZCON 2014 - Aug. 5-9, 2014
All,

Thought I'd post a "Save the Date" message for next year's event. It's August 5-9, 2014 in San Diego. The Z Car Club of San Diego is the host for next year's event!

ZCON website will be updated (www.zcon.org) over next couple months with more information on schedule, etc. The host hotel is the Kona Kai Resort - it's a top-notch resort on a peninsula - bay view on one side, harbor on the other!

Registration launches Jan. 1 - keep tabs on the ZCON website for more information.

Will deffinately be going. I grew up in San Diego and want to go back and spend a week there at minimum. Probably rent a nice house! Cant wait, so ready to go!

I saw the location and in all my years, have not done a ZCON....

If I can install the new heads and tuned... could be a nice vacation... have to see how time goes.

Only bummer is no track day?!?!? SD should've been off the list just cause they don't have a road course. Sheesh. Should've been in Los Angeles area and done Chuckwalla... But I'm gonna sign up for the Auto-x and the Nissan design tour, should be fun.

Update: Over 300 registered/expected at this point with still over 2 months till event time. Should have a good 400-500 people min. based upon past experience with last-minute registrations and walk-ins.

NOTE: We have CONFIRMED that the Z32 300zx designer WILL be attending in addition to Mr. Matsuo and Randy Rodriguez...so that's the Z32 300zx, S30/240z designer and the 370z designer in San Diego for this year's convention week.

Get registered ASAP - the convention team will likely want to finalize t-shirt and other counts here soon.

Hi all, just wondering if anyone else is driving to ZCON from Northern California on Tuesday. My wife and I are leaving on Tuesday morning for San Diego from the San Francisco Bay Area. This will be my 4th ZCON since the one in Long Beach, CA eons ago but will be my first as a married man. My wife went with me to the ZCON in Phoenix as my fiancee and now we are going to San Diego as a couple. Woo Hoo! Just finished detailing the Z inside and out and ready for the festivities. Bring it on San Diego!

I am leaving at 6 AM tomorrow morning (Tuesday) for San Diego and aside from gas stop(s), will stop in Irvine to meet with a friend that will join me and drive his Z. Anyone else want to drive down at that time?

Going to swing down there and check it out on Saturday. If anyone is leaving Friday evening, I'll probably be heading down from Monterey around 7 pm. It's late, but traffic is better and it's not as hot.
